Susan & Eric || Rocky Mountain Engagement
Okay, so I was dying to photograph a couple in the Rocky Mountains while I was in Colorado. I was ecstatic when Susan said that she and her husband would love to make the trip into the park. The first location that I had decided on was Bear Lake. The lake and the trail to get there were both covered in thick icy snow. I’m talking thick enough to cover a bench on the side of the trail. Luckily, it’s a very short walk from the parking lot to the lake. After the lake, we went down to a valley to catch the rest of the sunset.
While hanging out with Susan and Eric I found out a few things. The first is that they definitely had a good sense of humor that matched my own. I love getting to joke around with my couples during sessions! The second is that they were already married, but they never had the chance to get their engagement photos done. I was so happy to be able to capture these for them! I feel like everyone should get the chance to mark such a big moment in their lives through photos. Sometimes life gets hectic and you cant find time before the wedding date, but even after the wedding getting more intimate “engagement” photos done is so important. Another Susan and Eric fact is that they actually had a big wedding reception coming up! They had a smaller wedding last year and decided to go all out for a reception this summer. Overall this Rocky Mountains session was all that I could have dreamed for.
Congrats to these two!!
